Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Indian Nationals, Foreign Nationals, NRIs, PIOs, and OCIs.
Age: Must have attained at least 17 years of age by December 31, 2026. No upper age limit.
Qualifying Exam: General category candidates require a minimum of 50%. OBC/SC/ST candidates need a minimum of 40%. PWD candidates must have at least 45%.
Number of permitted attempts: There are no restrictions on the maximum number of attempts for the NEET exam.
Application Steps
Step 1: Registration
• Visit official website: nta.ac.in or neet.nta.nic.in
• Click on 'Fill Registration Form' or the invitation for NEET UG 2026 Registration.
• Click on 'New Registration' and carefully read the provided instructions.
• Enter the following details: Candidate’s Name, Mother’s name, Father’s name, Date of birth, Category, Gender, Nationality, Persons with Disability, Identification Type, Identification Number, Mobile number, Email Id, Password, Enter Security Pin.
• Confirm details (unchangeable after submission).

Step 4: Printing the confirmation of Application
After successfully applying, a confirmation page will be generated. You don't need to send this page to the NTA. Keep the confirmation page and proof of fee payment safe for future reference. Correction Window
Correction of Application Form Applicants who have submitted their NEET-UG 2026 applications may make adjustments online. Changes are permitted for country, language choice, gender, exam centre, category, and state of eligibility. Other information cannot be updated during this time. There are no more adjustments allowed once the NEET-UG 2026 correction window expires. Applicants who do not require modifications should examine their applications for correctness throughout this time.
